“Hogan’s

Be A

Hero”

Raised in Marion County and proud to call it home again, I bring years of financial leadership and oversight experience to my campaign for Marion County Trustee. This office requires responsibility, accuracy, and transparency, not politics. I am committed to ensuring the Trustee’s office is accessible, available, and accountable to every citizen.

Be a “Hogan’s Hero” and stand with me in protecting the public trust

Kellye’s Mission

It is with great pride and purpose that I announce my candidacy as an Independent candidate for Marion County Trustee.

I was raised in Marion County, graduated from Marion County High School in 1987, and went on to attend Tennessee Tech University, where I studied Psychology and Chemistry and earned my Bachelor’s degrees in 1992. After college, I moved to Florida and built a twenty-five year professional career in the financial sector. I began as a bank teller, then quickly advanced into mortgage and investment sales. I ultimately earned my Mortgage Broker’s License, taught the state-required 24-hour pre-licensing course for Florida mortgage broker candidates, while I served as Principal Mortgage Broker and managed an office of brokers and clerical staff.

That professional experience taught me the importance of accuracy, ethics, and accountability, which are lessons I would bring with me to the Trustee’s office.

I am also the proud mother of two sons, ages 18 and 25. Both of my children have Autism Spectrum Disorder and my oldest was later diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and Epilepsy. Advocating for him has shaped who I am, both personally and professionally. Recently, I was selected as a Partner in Policymaking through the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities. I was the first person from Marion County to receive this honor. I strongly believe in community involvement and in creating a better living environment for everyone.

Serving others has always been important to me. I currently serve as Treasurer/Secretary of the South Pittsburg Lions Club and have been a member of the South Pittsburg Historical Preservation Society for several years, where I was recently elected Chairperson.

Throughout my life, whether serving or leading, my goal has always been the same: to work toward a common purpose and strengthen the community I call home. I believe the Marion County Trustee is a service office, not a policy office, and it should operate with professionalism, accessibility, and respect for the public trust.

If elected as your Marion County Trustee, my goals are clear:

Accessibility. I plan to open the Trustee’s office from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays, while closing early on a slower weekday. This approach maintains the same total work hours while giving working citizens a weekend option to access services.

Availability. I will host quarterly “Meet the Trustee” gatherings, providing residents a comfortable, informal opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and engage directly with their elected official.

Accountability. I will treat every tax dollar with care, strictly follow the law, and ensure county funds are handled accurately and openly. The Trustee’s office must be accessible, available, and accountable to the people it serves, and that is the standard I commit to upholding.

If elected, I promise to serve Marion County with integrity, accuracy, openness and respect. I would be honored if you would be a “Hogan’s Hero” and support me with your vote on August 6.

Thank you for your time, your trust, and your consideration
